The Tiny Onion Summer Release Schedule

Hello Friends!

I am back home in Brooklyn and just getting a handle on everything we’ve got cooking for you this Summer from The Empire of the Tiny Onion. I mentioned that we’d be shifting to a summer release schedule and I wanted to do a dedicated post about it, because it’s going to affect our release cadence starting next week.

TINY UPDATES

Next Monday (May 28th) will be the last WEEKLY Tiny Update for the next few months. Starting with the post on June 6th, I’ll be releasing one big post at the top of each month. You can expect those posts on June 6th, July 4th (Might shift this to the 5th depending how we’re feeling), and August 1st. In these posts, I’ll update you about what’s been going on in my life, give you a calendar of ALL my comic releases in-stores, and fill you in on what you can expect that month here on Substack.

Tiny Updates are Free to read for ALL subscribers to THE EMPIRE OF THE TINY ONION, paid and unpaid. You can read it in your emails, on your desktop, or on the dedicated Substack App available on iOS.

ONION DROPS

The Empire of the Tiny Onion is partnered with the amazing retailer Third Eye Comics to bring you SHOP TINY ONION, a store with merchandise and variant covers of all my incredible titles. Every month, we do an Onion Drop where we give paid subscribers to this Substack early access to the latest t-shirts, masks, variant covers and more. You can see some of our incredible offerings available right now through the store.

After looking at the calendar, I decided to move the June and July Onion Drops to the second Wednesday of June and July, respectively, so we’re not trying to get all our ducks in a row on Memorial Day and Fourth of July Weekend. Right now, I think we’d move back to the first week of the month starting in August, but if that changes I’ll let everybody know in advance. Set your calendars for WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8TH, and WEDNESDAY, JULY 13TH for our Summer Onion Drops.

Onion Drops are available to read for all PAID subscribers to THE EMPIRE OF THE TINY ONION. If you’re interested in becoming a paid subscriber, you can subscribe at $7/month or $75/year. You can also sign up for a 7-day Free Trial if you’re interested in seeing everything we’ve got.

ONION CLUB

The Onion Club is the premiere membership tier of THE EMPIRE OF THE TINY ONION, at $250/year. Onion Club Membership gets you a physical membership card, some free giveaways, convention appearance perks, and six exclusive Gold Foil variants delivered to you over the course of the year. In 2022, members have received exclusive variants by Nick Robles for SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN, SANDMAN UNIVERSE: NIGHTMARE COUNTRY, and THE DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH, with three more to be unveiled before the end of the year (Signing up now entitles you to the next three covers, and the first three Onion Club covers that we’ll be releasing in 2023!).

Onion Club members get early access to each Onion Drop, and the merchandise and variant covers we’re releasing through it. The access comes in a dedicated Onion Club email blast we send out two days before each Onion Drop. This means that Onion Club members should expect emails in their inbox at 12 Noon Eastern Time on Monday, June 6th, and Monday, July 11th. If Noon comes on either of these days and you don’t get an email, you can ping TinyOnionOrders@ThirdEyeComics.com, we can confirm your membership status and give you the password to enter the shop.

TRUE WEIRD FRIDAYS

The Summer Release Schedule will NOT effect the regular release of Comics and Illustration features here on THE EMPIRE OF THE TINY ONION. Next Friday will see the release of the complete first issue of THE ODDLY PEDESTRIAN LIFE OF CHRISTOPHER CHAOS, which will be running bimonthly thereafter, and available to read for all subscribers, paid and unpaid. Every month paid subscribers will get two entries of THE DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH: WILD FICTIONS. They’ll also get one chapter of our new anthology series, TRUE WEIRD, and starting in August, they’ll get one chapter a month of our returning first Substack project, BLUE BOOK. Right now on the calendar, we’ve got something coming your way EVERY Friday this summer except for July 1st, though I still might try to cook up something special for that one… If you want to check out all the goodies we’ve released on this Substack so far, you should check out the index we’ve made for you!

I’ll reiterate the basics of this in the next couple of Tiny Updates! But just wanted everyone aware of what we’re doing in advance so it doesn’t come as a surprise.
