W0RLDTR33: Want To See Some Pretty Comic Book Covers?

Hello Friends!

I’ve got some COOL stuff to show you today.

We’re about a month out from the Final Order Cut-Off for W0RLDTR33 #1, and you’re probably going to start seeing some chatter about it in the wild as we get some of the first review copies floating around later this week.

W0RLDTR33 is a science fiction horror comic, a longform original series that will be running at Image over the next few years. I’m teaming up with Fernando Blanco on art, Jordie Bellaire on colors, and Aditya Bidikar on letters. Tiny Onion stalwart Steve Foxe is editing. I’m very very proud of this book. I think it’s maybe the scariest thing I’ve ever written.

I wanted to unveil the slate of open-to-order and ratio variants that we have available for you.

So, above we have the iconic A-Cover from series co-creator Fernando Blanco, and isn’t it an absolute BEAUTY? But now let’s dig into the covers you HAVEN’T seen before.

Cover B is by the legendary DAVID AJA (Hawkeye, The Seeds), and is open to order! But that’s not all!

It wouldn’t be a big series launch without a stunning variant cover from the one and only JENNY FRISON, and she DESTROYED on this!!!! This cover is a 1:10 Ratio Variant.

Next up we have this absolutely fucking terrifying BILL SIENKIEWICZ cover, our 1:25 Ratio Variant. From the moment Bill sent the roughs of this in I KNEW it would be a winner.

The last I’m going to show off today is this gorgeous 1:50 ratio variant, by the amazing ZU ORZU! She’s been destroying it on her SIKTC variants and was right at the top of my list to bring in for this project

So, there’s still one more announced Ratio variant. The 1:100 tier. The first issue’s cover at that tier is something special, and it matches a set that we’re going to run across the whole first arc. This tier is our HOMAGE variants, and hey…

How about we unveil all of those for the entire first arc next week?

So, uh… Just gonna slip something personal down here in the post-script. I wasn’t going to make a whole thing about it, but then I realized that the only way for this to be changed on Wikipedia is for me to state it in a public forum.

It’s been the case for a while, but I’m thinking of myself and referring to myself as Gay now. It’s a more accurate and true descriptor of me. This is not a coming out. I came out literally more than twenty years ago. But I do want it to be known! James Tynion IV, a big gay homosexual. You heard it here first, folks.
