Hello, Mr. Tynion. Big fan. I first discovered your work in the form of your astonishing run on Detective Comics. It is one of the best runs on a superhero comic I've ever read. Period. Since then I've read almost everything you wrote. SIKTC is beyond awesome and I can't stop recommending it to everyone, Justice League Dark was brilliant, Joker is just getting started but already is one of my most anticipated comics evey month and, of course, I can't wait to read NHOTL. But the reason I'm writing is Batman. The Caped Crusader is my favorite superhero. He's been with me since I was a child when his stories helped me overcome some issues. My first tattoo was Batman's symbol. The Dark Knight has never left my side and reading his exploits in the pages of the comics brings me such joy. That's why I couldn't pass the opportunity to share a few thoughts of you run with the character. There's a lot of strong points in your Batman and certainly has a hook that keeps me reading month after month. That said, I think that the ideas in the book are phenomenal and drenched in hype and anticipation, but most of sometimes their execution is underwhelming. That, paired with the excessive amount of dialogue displayed in the issues, doesn't let me fully enjoy the experience of what you are narrating. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to keep reading your Batman because, as I said before, he is my favorite superhero and you are a writer whose work I follow up close (also The Cowardly Lot shows promise) but I didn't want to left this things unsaid. I've been wanting to share these thoughts for a while but I'm not in social media so I couldn't get ahold of you. Luckily I stumbled upon this blog, which I plan to read every time you post a new entry. That's all I have to say, Mr. Tynion. Take care and thanks for reading.

P.S: I can't tell you how excited I am with the news you share about Tim Drake finally coming back. He's my favorite Robin and his return was long overdue.

"Well… for the last decade of working in Gotham City, there were so many times where people would ask about their favorite Bat-Family member and not be able to explain the weird internal politics that were acting as a barrier to seeing those characters get the spotlight they deserve… But right now? There’s a plan for ALL of them."

THIS part has me curious! Im very excited at the prospect of beloved favorites making a return. I confess I would be very skeptical about this claim....Were it not for seeing Bluebird of all characters popping up in comics nowadays.

But does this really mean EVERYONE from the Gotham sphere...I want to hope and wish for that. There were a number of characters created in recent years that I simply fell in love with only for them to vanish after their stories were told.

The Gotham Academy Detective Club and those associated with them such as Katherine Karlo and Tristan Grey.

The former members of 'We Are Robin'

Alfreds daughter Julia Pennyworth

The cyborg hero despite herself, Mother Panic

or even older faces who haven't really made an appearance in a while like Batwoman's niece, Bette Kane.

I am excited to see what comes of this. So far ive seen new and amazing characters popping up such as Miracle Molly, Ghost Maker, and Kid Kawaii who I am eager to see more of. Im seeing teasers of upcoming one shots for characters like Huntress and Signal. And everything shockingly enough feels tied together into a cohesive whole which is not something ive really seen in quite a while from the DC books.

So while I confess to doubting I will necessarily see any of the characters I miss and wish would see a return one of these days, there has been so many surprises already that I can't help but wonder if I will see my personal favorites someday in the future. Which is alot more hope than I had a year ago.

A bit of a ramble but to get to the point, I love everything that has been happening and im eager to see what comes next regardless of who does and doesn't make an appearance
