“Tiny Update” is a weekly free newsletter that keeps you up to date on the latest news, comic book projects and merchandise offerings from James Tynion IV and Tiny Onion Studios
1) I’m so excited to hear your announcements! After last week’s SUNC announcement I immediately added it to my pull…even though I’ve never read a single Sandman comic. 😊
2) I just want to say, “DC vs. Vampires” is fantastic! I must admit that I am generally disinterested in vampires these days and only picked up issue #1 because I’m such a big fan of yours. Despite my bias against vampires I fell in love with this story! Now it’s one of the books I look forward to the most. Great job!
3) Congratulations on your GLAAD nomination for “Wynd!” I’m sure you’re already way ahead of me on this, but you should be very proud of the work you’re doing on this book.
4) Thank you very much for the incredible “make-up” book you sent to qualifying people as a supplement to their Day One book! I was blown away, and the responses I’ve seen from the people in my groups are over the moon! You have been extremely generous with all of this and I appreciate it very much.
If you and Sam are on a Brett Gelman kick, you should watch the one season of “Go On.” A vastly underrated show that got canceled way too soon. It was a comedy about a motley crew of people in a grief counseling group who become unlikely friends. Brett is fantastic in it and was my introduction to him beyond the lottery commercials I remembered him in.
Thanks for the update! Really excited to hear about some of the future project's that you've got cooking in the tiny onion oven! It's also very infectious to hear you speak about fulfilling a childhood dream and getting to write your favorite comic book, even if it's not on the Substack. As I read this update to my wife, she says, so we're now going to be reading Sandman.. LoL.. It was with a wink and a smile!
I'm slowly catching up on a massive backlog of updates but if you ever scroll back this way, be sure to check out Lemon. It came out a few years back and is funny, upsetting, and beautiful all at the same time.

Thanks for this, Ed!
Let me know if you check it out. Best deal is $17.99 on Vudu for the 22 episode season. Going to rewatch myself, as there’s a few I’ve never seen!

If you're looking for more Brett Gelman content, try "Eaglehart" with Chris Elliott if you haven't already.
