Thanks for the very kind words about Saga, James! And I co-sign your Giacchino love. That Batman score is just mesmerizing. Anyway, huge congrats on your much-deserved success!

Curious what your 'new medium' project is, and looking forward to hearing more about it in the future!

I'm gonna take a guess at what it is: Are you joining Ed Brubaker & Greg Rucka on Batman: Caped Crusader?

Just read the first 15 issues SIKTC on the library's Hoopladigital app. I had other stuff to do but I just couldn't put it down. My first introduction to you work was buying The Backstagers issues as they came out. I bought it for my kids would like it but I ended up enjoying it a lot. SIKTC is different from The Backstagers :D but I enjoyed it a lot (so much I couldn't stop). Looking forward to reading your sandman. Three years ago, I did a re-read the series via the Absolute editions (including Death and Overture) and I just finished reading The Dreaming: Waking Hours run from G. Willow Wilson, which was beautiful. Glad you got to play in the Sandman sandbox and I look forward to reading it.

I have to ask (but you don’t have to answer), are the two things you’re scripting outside of comics adaptations of your own work or something new?

How to Win Friends and Influence People is the best book I have ever read and it completely changed my life and how I approach living. No bullshit. No cliche. Always worth another listen/read. It might be 100 years old, but it's still relevant and always will be.

When I can't sleep I try to imagine something simple, like an apple, and then I slowly try to imagine it with more detail, by the time I can fully see the apple with all details, I start to drift away and I'm sleeping.

I don't know if this works for anyone but maybe it does!

Can't wait for The Closet act two!!!

Are you writing a novel/short story? I gotta say that has been a thought I've had. Nice House On the Lake continues to be great and Department of Truth has turned into one of my favorite comics ever. It's the book I always looks forward to the most. At this point, you may be my favorite modern comic writer. Your only real competition is Jeff Lemire and Chip Zdarsky (Newburn and Daredevil are both fucking awesome).

Please read The Tiger by John Vaillant

I hope the idea is to have the quest artists to variants for their respective issues. That’d be cool as heck.

Keep doing what u do. Keep writing how u write. There’s a reason people love your comics and buy them like hotcakes.

For years, my little comic crew….we discuss comics. What’s our top books this year? Who’s our top 5 writers and artists? Etc etc

I remember years back after binging your detective run, I was saying to my crew it might be just a small step behind the super CLASSICS (Morrison, DKR, Snyder) and that was the first time I put u as #5 in my favorite current writers (Plus JL Dark was fucking badass horror).

Fast forward 2 years, and outside of Hickman, I think you’re my favorite writer going for years. And creeping into top 5 all time.

So TL;DR keep doing what you do. Polished, not polished, whatever. Keep writing good interesting comics and people will keep buying them (and subbing here).
