I'm partial to Shed-Rain umbrellas.

And also partial to Hickman's FF run. It was one of the things I read during spring 2020 when new comics were shut off for a few months. Thankfully all four complete collection volumes are now out, so you don't need to flip back and forth between the trades of Fantastic and FF.

My umbrella recommendation: I got a portable umbrella at UNIQLO three years ago and it was a great umbrella, it didn't break with he wind, it didn't bend and it was great. I lost it recently but I think it was the best umbrella ever.

Dude I met Richard Dreyfuss at a con a few years ago and I was gonna have him sign the original soundtrack to Close Encounters on vinyl because that is also one of my favorite movies but I couldn’t find a clean copy of it in time so I had him sign a Jaws Motion Picture Soundtrack “Blood in the Water Vinyl” by MONDO. The records themselves are ocean blue with red around the middle. Anyway he’s really cool and a very nice guy and he liked the look of the albums. There was also someone in line who had a fucking big yellow barrel prop from the movie to have him sign lol that was fucking cool

I worked through FF (Hickman) right into his Avengers. I’m pretty deep into Avengers (just took down the Justice League from earth 4million). Pure brilliance. Somewhat recently I crowned Sandman as GOAT comic all time. After secret wars, FF/Avengers might be reclaiming that #1 spot. So good.

Dylan Todd is the absolute best. My partner and I had the great privilege of having him do the original design, and the redesign of our shop’s logo set, and I can’t stress how much his sense of design has cemented us in people’s minds. Just a legend.

“I feel more in touch with myself than I have in a minute, and I’ve been out there, living life in a way that I feel I haven’t let myself in a while. Sometimes it’s been scary, but I feel deeply and thoroughly alive and I feel like I’m just getting started.” This made me so happy (and a bit envious 😉) to read! Keep up the good work!
