Hello Friends! The spooky season is now in full swing, and I’ve got some very exciting stuff up my sleeve this week. SO, I’m just going to get right into it! You may have seen my beautiful, cherubic presence back on my main Twitter account (@JamesTheFourth
Just to clarify, regarding the Onion Club moving off Substack, will Onion Club membership still include all paid Substack content or will that require a separate paid subscription to Substack?
I second this question. I already paid for 2023 Onion Club and I'm not interested in paying another 75$ annually. Can I safely cancel my annual and assume I'll get all posts with my Onion Club (now off substack) subscription?
I know that JT4 will clarify everything in the next two months as we get closer to the window for people (who haven’t already) to sign up for Onion Club 2023. It is my GUESS that Onion Club membership will still include the paid Substack subscription and that posts will come through Substack and the Onion Club will be something “on the side.” For now, I wouldn’t cancel anything.
For 2023 and having to pay shipping. Can there be better hold box options? Instead of having to pay 20-30 dollars to ship a book every drop or for each exclusive. I’m in Canada and it becomes more expensive to ship then for the actual purchase.
Being able to hold them for at least 3 months would help alot.
I was a bit confused by the changes so I did have one question. I subscribed at the $250/Founders Tier for 2021 when it launched, took a month break to get some fiancees in order, and then resubscribed at the beginning of September at the $250/Founders Tier. Will I still be grandfathered into the next iteration?
If I’m understanding your situation correctly, I believe this sentence (“Frankenstein’d” together by me) from the Onion Club email this morning will answer your question. “This group (My “Founders” - Who signed up in the first month (of) the Onion Club in August 2021, and re-upped for a second year a few months ago) was unintentionally extended by a few weeks past my intent due to an error in Substack’s system, and we will honor everyone charged for the full 250 for a second year, but this group is now locked.”
